I have just completed my entry into this years annual Illustrators Australia 9x5 exhibition. This years theme is Year of the Rat. As you can see I went for a rather dark interpretation of the theme. I used this painting to explore some stencil techniques. I ended up using a couple of A4 sheets of Frisket Film brand low tack masking film. This stuff was great! In the past I had used over head transparency sheets stuck on the canvas with glue stick glue. Using the low tack masking film was easier, quicker and cleaner. Three big ticks from me!By the way this years 9x5 exhibition is being held as part of Melbourne Fringe Festival.
